Commissioned Characters

Commissioned character designs for various clients. My task was to first deliver sketch explorations, and then create a full, rendered illustration of a character that the client could use freely.

Guardian of the snake temple

July 2019 - character design practice.

"The great serpent has numerous servants who, guard the temples dedicated to his majesty. His fond Ash-tec empire has grown almost everywhere on the planet and is enjoying technological and cultural development like never before. However, civilization tries not to rush too far forward and not to neglect its traditions. The divine serpent is especially fond of women, whom he values not only faithfulness but also the grace with which they can move. They mix their fighting style with dancing in order not only to defend the temples but also to still worship the Great Serpent. As weapons, these female warriors use heavy maces on thick chains. They do not need to eat or rest, constantly vigilant at the entrances to temples like statues, waiting only for orders from heaven"

AZTEC ASSASSIN

My entry for an Assassin’s Creed online art contest. The challenge was to design the original Assassin. I decided to create a female protagonist living in an Aztec Empire as there was no such game in the series yet, and I am personally fascinated with Aztec’s culture.

Jaguar Rider

set of CHARACTERS #1

This set of characters was dictated by my plea to speed up my character sketching design process using photobash technique and magical mixer brush. I set myself a time limit for each character - from 1h to 10h. In some cases, however, I couldn't resist and ended up doing a breakdown and variations!

set of CHARACTERS #2

Set of character designs inspired by Chinese mythology. This is another challenge with a time limit - 14 days to create a coherent design for 5 characters that would have a cool, interesting design, look and variety. I wrote a short brief for each of the characters, who they are, what role they play in the world, and what feeling I would like to give them, and then I proceed to draw.

set of CHARACTERS #3

A series of character designs inspired by the world of DnD. The goal was to create several characters each representing a different class and abilities, but also to create a coherent style of clothing for them.

More projects are currently under NDA - coming soon…
